Denver Co to Moab Utah

Today started off a little rainy in Denver and about 60 degrees and we stopped by an old mining town

Then through the Eisenhower tunnel which goes under the continental divide and then Vail Co. Quite beautiful and very ritzy.

This is the beginning of the Colorado river

We drove up through a neighborhood with houses like you've never seen before.

On through another canyon to Glenwood Springs

This ride is at the top of a Mountain

As you can see it swings one over the canyon we just went through

This is all at the top of the mountain you see here in the background

On to Grand Junction

The Colorado river getting a little wider

Some of the landscape seemed to be from the moon

In Grand Junction we decided to ride the 23 miles through Colorado National Monument

Probably the most nervous I have ever felt driving. The road twisted and tunneled along the very edges of the many canyons it went around.

It was definitely a long way down

A collared lizard

I believe a Pinon Jay

They climb this rock every 4th of July to put a flag on the top

We came through the Mountains you see in the background

Once back down and on the road the land stretched out as far as you could see

At the base of these Mountains we headed into another canyon with the Colorado river

As always the pictures do not do it justice
