Arches to Monument Valley

Sorry we have not posted recently, but we have had limited internet.
I forgot to mention that we met some Brothers at the Kingdom Hall who were telling us about the success they were having witnessing to the Indians using the tracts.
This is downtown Moab. This is quite the adventure location. I have never seen so many Jeeps and 4 wheelers, mountain bikes, white water rafting, and rock climbing activities in one place. It does take its toll. The local paper mentioned that this year there has already been 5 deaths and numerous emergency calls for help. One girl got up to go to the bathroom in the night at a campground and ended up walking off a cliff.

 Some petroglyphs

We headed into Arches National Park

The place is called Park Avenue
There are over 300 hundred arches in the park. Many you have to hike to. We saw only a fraction of them

Coming in to Monument Valley. Many movies have been shot here from John Waynes The Searchers to Forrest Gump and Back to the Future.

 The Mittens

 Some of the first settlers
 This is John Ford point

Many of the rock formations had names because of how they looked. This is Geronimo

A Navajo home called a Hogan

Clint Eastwood was on the top of this skinny one in the Eiger Sanction

I'll have another post later today
